VarIO - my variometer

Found a barometric pressure sensor and managed to write some code for reading the pressure and temperature then display them on the screen...

Altitude is calculated from the barometric pressure.
For the rate-of climb/descent calculation I used a circular buffer to store the last 3 sec of samples (currently at an interval of 300ms ). Then I calculate the difference between the had and the tail and I divide the result by the number of sec.

For now I can display the values in imperial (ft/min, F, ft) or Metric (m/s, C, m). The barometric pressure is displayed in millibars (hPa) but I will allow selection of conversion (inch or mm of HG)

Suggestions welcome :)

Or should I drop it and add the device in a well known cross country soaring application?

If you have the sensor in the phone, the app will be free. I didn't managed to add the support for the newer devices since mine is pretty old and I can't test it... Just came back from vacation sorry fro the late response...
