Doctor Who Opening Credits, The Tudors Style

So, here I was, watching seasons 1 and 2 of The Tudors again and grumbling to myself that my vidding muse has suddenly taken a long nap after vigorously whipping me for several months. I wanted to make one of those opening credits videos that people have been making lately, but no ideas were coming.

Then, about the fifth episode into season 2, I watched the amazing opening credits of The Tudors, and it hit me. Nobody's done that before! My muse woke up, donned her dominatrix outfit and set upon whipping me for two days straight until I finished it. ;D

And here it is. Opening Credits for Doctor Who, in the style of the opening credits of the second season of The Tudors.

Don't own Doctor Who or The Tudors. Don't I wish!

Out of all the 'remixed' opening titles I've seen, this has the best editing by far. In fact, this video was what got me into The Tudors. :) Excellent work.

I've been inspired to create a similar video for the Matt Smith era once Series 6 wraps up later this year, and was wondering if you might be willing to give me a step in the right direction. Which programme(s) did you use to edit this video, and which version of the Tudors opening song did you use?

@Corvatis28 Oh wow, thank you! The program I used was Sony Vegas Pro 8, and the opening I used was Season 2 of The Tudors. One thing I remember doing a lot when I made this video was I watched the title sequence for S2 of The Tudors many, many, many times. I watched it very carefully to try to get my version as close, timing and visuals-wise, to what they had in the opener. Don't just try to match the music, try to match the transitions to what they did in the original.

@CaptainGrimes1 Wow. Rome, eh? I might just do that some day. I never tried before since I had been doing the credits in the visual style as well as using the theme song, and I'd never manage to do the animation necessary to pull that off. :)
