"Green" McMansions

Anthony Aebi belongs to a growing cadre of builders who consider themselves part of an emerging green building movement. Aebi claims to have built the most energy-efficient McMansion in the state, and he plans on using it as a model for others. Critics of such "green" McMansions, however, say such homes not only require more materials and energy to build but they encourage a way of life that will exacerbate our current global crisis.
