while i was at Basic training for the AF, Mark showed up one day and played this song live, and "he was walking her home" it was so amazing, he has an amazing voice!
The first time I listened to this was on a friends mp3 player and I loved it. The music and especially the words have such an impact on their own. It's really amazing and makes me want to cry.
I don't know anyone personally who's serving, but I do have friends who've lost brothers and sisters in the current war. And as much as I don't believe in what we're fighting over there, and as much as I think Iraq was just..well...a dumb move, I still pray that all those men and women make it home safe.
I was at Basic in the AF, and after our first week there, going to church was our way to get away from the Instructors. As soon as this song played, so many of us lost it. Emotions just got the best of us. It's an amazing song.
