NFL coaches who are surprisingly returning for the 2011 season....

Jack Del Rio- Jacksonville Jaguars

Marvin Lewis-Cincinatti Bengals

Gary Kubiak-Houston Texans

These coaches are out....

Eric Mangini-Cleveland Browns

John Fox- Carolina Panthers

Tom Cable- Oakland Raiders (surprisingly)

These coaches got fired DURING the 2010 NFL season....

Wade Phillips- Dallas Cowboys

Brad Childress- Minnesota Vikings

Josh McDaniels-Denver Broncos

Mike Singletary - San Francisco 49ers

Also....

Jeff Fisher is staying in Tennesse. People say that he's a good coach, but the Titans have missed the playoffs 5 out of the past 7 seasons.

Vince Young is out in Tennessee. The quarterback will not be a Titan next year. Jeff Fisher didn't want him. Owner Bud Adams did, but he decided to let Vince Young go.

The Sealttle Seahawks, worst team to ever make the NFL playoffs...

7-9 record

Scored 310 points

Gave up 407 points (-97 point differential)

28th in offense

27th in defense

Each of their 9 losses were by 15 points or more.

They were outgained by over 1,100 yards on the season. Only the Cardinals were outgained by more.

  • The worst team to ever make the playoffs.... Beats the defending champs!!! AND yes they were defending there championship... That's how it works... Your the champs until your dethroned ... Seahawks deserve some credit ...

  • @funkyflights no, they were NOT defending their championship. they didn't lose their Superbowl trophy from Superbowl 44 just because they lost to the Seahawks. the Saints were not the "defending champs". I really don't know why sports fans don't understand simple terms. Boxers and MMA fighters who defend their titles are defending champs.

  • @spinnerNsports

Your philosophy is flawed... While they still keep the trophy from last year they are still in fact the defending Super-Bowl champions... The team that won the title the year before is the DEFENDING champions...

  • @funkyflights Your logic is ASSININE. Clearly, you don't have much of an education. The New Orleans Saints were NOT the defending champions in 2010. There was NOTHING to defend. Do you know what DEFENDING CHAMPION actually means? The Saints get to KEEP their Superbowl 44 trophy which represented the 2009 season, therefore they CAN'T be the defending champions.

A boxer defends his title. An MMA fighter defends his title. The Saints aren't defending anything. Wow, you're an idiot.

  • The Ravens are playing better football than Jets the at the moment. I think the Ravens will make the super bowl against the Bears.

  • @godanselmo the Ravens offense is TOO INCONSISTENT. We still struggle on offense a lot. Plus, I don't trust the Ravens to win 3 road games to make it to the playoffs The only way the Ravens could get a home game in the playoffs would be if the Jets knock off both the Colts and the Patriots and both the Ravens and Jets make the AFC title game.

  • WHOSE THE ONLY GUY THAT GAVE THEM A CHANCE.........(points at himself) THIS GUY!!!!! LMAO

  • @spinnerNsports Yeah I used the wrong words. He was good and shouldn't be fired, since, as a Bills fan, he's been our only good coach since like 2005.

  • @spinnerNsports What is your opinion on the Dolphins/Jim Harbaugh talking about an opening at their head coaching spot when Tony Sparano is still the head coach? Also in response to your response to TheNFLEdgeHead31, Chan Gailey did a good job this year for the Bills. Though the wins didn't show up, like the Lions, they showed effort, and had a passion to try to win almost every game. I would officially describe Chan Gailey's job this year as "quietly good."
