actually, the longest coaster is The Beast. it lasts for about 7 minutes of riding time.

@Comedian401 - excellent point...The Beast does run at 4:10 and the Steel Dragon only 4:00, however, I was not referring to the duration of ride, but track length. The Steel Dragon is the longest in the world at 8,133ft. when it came on the scene in August 2001 in broke 4 world records: Tallest, Longest, Fastest and Greatest Drop. Currently, it holds the record for longest :)
