Housing is a basic human need. Sadly, many people are without a simple, decent place to live in dignity and safety.
Our job will be to construct a house frame - the basic walls and infrastructure- in ONE weekend in the Saint Barnabas parking lot. The structure will then be transported to a partner organization (such as Habitat for Humanity) that will complete the project with skilled laborers (plumbers, electricians, etc.) The home will then be dedicated to a family in need.

This was such a great event and effort. Thanks to Maryellen so much for thinking of this and directing!
My boys and I had a wonderful time participating in this (rainshowers and all) and it was such an awesome and fun way for me as their Mom to introduce them to the real "Esprit de corps" feeling of working on something bigger than you can do alone, and with such impressive results.
Extremely positive experience, and I hope we can participate again this yea! We're all looking forward to it.
