Thank you so much for posting this. I've watched it many times and it inspired me to pick up a guitalele and learn this song. It had been 20 years since I last played guitar and I'm excited about learning to play again.

I just considered the GL-1 a suboptimal instrument, cheap build (just look about the nylon screws through the bridge ...) and have not seen any niche such a beast could fit in.
That video made me change my mind. I still have my doubts about the quality of that "budget-priced" instruments, but i am impressed what you get out of it and how long the chords are holding.
Here you demonstrate the much bigger impact of the players skills over the instruments quality.
