I really enjoyed this movie but, What the hell was up with that ending?
So he shot himself in the head, survived, and it somehow cured his skitzo? (pardon my spelling)

@74Folio Well, "Jack" (the narrator) didn't really shoot any vital part of his head, he blew out his cheek. And because "Jack" had the will to pull the trigger (knowing he would shatter his teeth, burst his eardrums, and disfigure himself) he lost the need to have Tyler around any more, because he had achived the same strong will-power that Tyler had.
And that is why "Jack" is so awesome.
