You clearly don't know too much about cinema or art. Otherwise, you would have understood the film. It's a work of genius. I mean, it's a "Dirty Dozen"/"Guns of the Navarone"/guys going on a mission WWII film about propaganda film, posing a propaganda film image, with some Nazisploitation elements, all paced and somewhat "orchestrated" as a spaghetti western. It's high art, and there's a reason why Tarantino fans as well as critics loved and still do love it. You're just not old enough for it.

It's supposed to be part propaganda film, Captain Obvious. It's the art of the film. See, if you actually paid attention to it rather than being an absentminded, low attention span fuckface, maybe you'd know that Goebbels was involved in the German propaganda film industry and this fact contributed to the fictional story of the film. People went to this expecting to see "Nazis" get their heads bashed in, which they did, but then were introduced to the German version of Inglourious Basterds-

What a shameful piece of hollywood propaganda bullshit. Most people have no idea that 60,000,000 people died as a result of WW2. It wasnt a war fought to "exterminate jews" Jews simply caused that war just as they did WW1 and now WW3. In typical evil jew fashion, they now absurdly re-create themselves as heroic. lol. They are great masters of fiction. Do your homework America. For starters, study and learn about how not one person EVER was put into a "gas chamber". There was no such thing.

The 1st scene in the house is fantastic, Col Landa remains happy and pleasant throughout but with an underlining 'fuck with me at your peril' presence.
I love the part where he smokes his pipe and congratulates mr ladpatite on his delicious milk - such an intense atmosphere done with a smile
great scene - GREAT FILM!!!

I can't even picture Adam Sandler in this film. Glad he wasn't.

@IdAnIsS I agree. I would kill a man to see Basterds in IMAX.

@mrtony80 I think that was kind of the point. He seems all composed and cunning and then he just breaks the hell down.

love the opinions, hate the people.

Great review, possibly the best I've seen. But both Michael fassbender and mike meyers put on accents - to be as "british" as possible. I thought mike meyers was hilarious with his over the top manners and phrases. I've seen it 3 times. It's the type of movie you just want to watch again. My favorite of the Tarantino films I've seen, by far.

I was having so much fun with Col. Landa, that I honestly forgot about the Basterds throughout much of it. Not that they weren't good, because they were great, too. It was all great.
