How I Organize My DVDs

It seems to be the hot topic of the moment, so here is my video regarding how I organize my own DVDs.

See if you can count how many times I use the word "gist".

My DVDs are hopelessly disorganized! Well, maybe not hopelessly, at least I have them all on a single bookcase. But they're out of order, and there's that problem you mentioned of having multiple movies on one DVD. And I have a DVD recorder connected to the tv, so I can make DVDs of my favorite shows and movies directly from TCM or whatever. And I've begun cataloging the DVDS, finally, and saving the info onto a jumpdrive. Interesting that you bring this up now, great minds think alike!

I have just started recording movies using my PC since I moved into the new homestead Steve. I haven't quite got the menu worked out, but TCM comes in and I am already on my SECOND 100 pack of DVD-R (it is truly ridiculous!).

I have to get a handle on this latest obsession. Lol

Yeah, but I am a slacker, so the list gets out of date and then I am always playing catch up. Lol :)

I do mine in alphabetical order but also do them in genres as well. If it doesn't fit in one genre it goes to the "Neither World" section. Great vid and keep it up!

I suck at deciding which films go in what category, but whatever system works best for you personally is always the best one to go with (obviously. DOH! ;-).

mine's all screwed up because I have movies and tv series. I have many boxsets too, so I can't put everything alphabetically and if I try it doesn't look very good.

Really a great way to organize a collection. Very impressive. I wish I had such a good system, but I think it would not work with my collection.

i guess i am a total bum when it comes to this subject - here is how i organized my movies - i have them in tall stacks on a coffee table - stacks of about 50 high and about 15 stacks of them - it works for me ha. Good master list idea though man that is a good system.
