Another cool song from my youth. This song is from one of my favorite albums: Living All Alone. It's one of those joints that my mom used to clean the house listening to. With all of the bubble gum R&B on radio rotation, I have to take it back 20 years to get quality music. Just thought I'd share. Enjoy!

  • The 18 people who dislike this wouldn't know true talent if it slapped them in the face, and this woman was a true talent! My mom bought this album back in the day, and even as a child I was mesmerized by Phyllis and her voice! It saddens me to this day that she took her life, however, I thank God she left us with great music! RIP

  • Its a shame that most people under 30 have no recollection, knowledge or understanding of the talents of this brilliant woman.........She was incomparable and didn't even know it....

  • @mrhowardb Truly!

  • @dapithapon you're retarded.

  • Mrkennylun: that's awesome. I wish I could have met her, but I was a small child when she passed.

Like someone else posted: this is from the time when artists had to have ACTUAL talent to get a deal and not a gimmick....

  • she's beautiful

  • She was a beautiful star! with a beautiful voice that left here much too soon!

  • I mistook her voice to be male

  • @MisterR82 Read about the "killing herselfs" of the myriads of "proper medications" out there. Have you read about the 1 in 5 Americans on anti-psychotic medications? Do you wonder why this country is in it's current state? I wish I would have got my pharmaceutical degree back about 20 year ago. I would be sittin' real, real pretty right about now. Try some Zoloft and check back in a couple of weeks. It could "rot" you as well.

  • @MrKennylun She did remember everyword said, and YOU as well. I experienced the same. Nothing phony about this woman at all.

  • "Old friend, it's so nice to feel you hold me again..."

    143zaj!

  • I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE MET PHYLLIS BACK IN NEW YORK AROUND 1979 OR1980. WE HAD A LONG CONVERSATION OVER DRINKS,AND SHE CHARMED AND MESMERISED ME FOR HOURS. A FEW MONTHS LATER I SAW HER PERFORM IN HOUSTON, AND SHE REMEMBERED EVERY WORD WE HAD SAID. I LAST SAW HER ABOUT 3 MONTHS BEFORE HER UNTIMELY PASSING IN L.A. SHE SEEMED SAD, BUT WAS AS CHARMING AND BEAUTIFUL AS EVER. I MISS HER AND THINK OF HER OFTEN. REST PEACEFULLY PRETTY LADY. YOU WERE TRULY A STAR AND I,LL ALWAY LOVE YOU.
