  • Do you know if R-MA accepts students who are going into their senior year? (Not this school year 12-13) I've been thinking about military school for awhile now but I have a few questions. If you don't mind are you on scholarship and what are your grades like? How has R-MA changed you? Do you feel prepared for college? Thanks :)

  • @Salami0323 I'm actually an R-MA mom and employee, not a student, so I'm going to hope that some students will answer this for you. I can tell you that R-MA sometimes takes seniors--it depends on how large the incoming senior class. You have to have really good grades and great recommendations and a pretty good reason for wanting to transfer your senior year.

  • @Salami0323 Oops, I didn't mean to post that twice. Anyway, in your senior year, all R-MA can help you with is getting your college application materials together. Your college resume will be built mainly based on your activities and grades and classes taken at your current school. Usually what I hear from families who come in their junior or senior year is, "I wish we'd done it sooner." Depending on your reasons for wanting to do military school, you might want to try to come this year.

  • @ladyfab1234 You should definitely visit a few and make sure you see inside the buildings and talk to students so you know straight up what it's like. It's not for everyone but some kids love it!!

  • is it better to come your junior or senior year

  • but i'm young im only 11years old (personaly: i thought milatary school was boring and strict and a little too much for me to handle cuz i used to doing what i want to do.) but that because i've been watching the boys milatary videos. Now i think the girlz milatary part is soo awesome! i'll think about going to milatayr school!

  • ummm....my sister is planning on taking me to milatary school but i don't believe her cuz they never do what ever there going to do!

  • @nickrod32 It can and has been done... but if you get caught they make you take it home

  • @nickrod32 azpandaman is right, it is up to the school. At R-MA, you are allowed to bring a computer. You are not allowed to bring an Xbox or other gaming system, nor can you have a TV, microwave or refrigerator. The girls' lounge does have a TV and a microwave. You don't go as crazy as you think without the gaming systems. You stay really busy at a boarding school!
