ROLLING AND TUMBLIN Imogen Heap with Jeff Beck live at Ronnie Scott's 2007 from BBC 4 TV special
LYRICS:
Well, I rolled and I tumbled,
Cried the whole night long
Well, I rolled and I tumbled,
Cried the whole night long
When I woke up this morning,
Didn't know right or wrong
Well if the river was a whiskey
And I was a diving duck
If the river was a whiskey
And I was a diving duck
Well I would dive to the bottom
I swear, I'd never come up.
Well I could have had religion,
In this bad old Sunday
I could have had religion,
In this bad old Sunday
But whisky and bad love,
Wouldn't let me have my way
I rolled and I tumbled
And I rolled and I tumbled
I rolled and I tumbled

Jeff Beck is probably the most soulful guitar player in history. I've never heard someone with better control over their instrument and tone. You're a fool.

Are you kidding??? I mean if you need another example, look up his work at Crossroads 2010!
He's probably the most accomplished guitar player alive today. Nobody--even the virtuosos can even duplicate what he does.

Entirely wrong. You must not have been alive during the period when Hendrix, Clapton etc. were all alive and working at their peak. Beck was a widely known and highly respected peer. His period with the Yardbirds, the Jeff Beck Group, his jazz fusion period beginning with Blow By Blow, all critically acclaimed. And of course three Grammy awards, Rock n Roll hall of fame and invitations to join Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones don't count for anything.

oh,by the way,
Mr. Vaughan is a blues traditionalist working on a circuit far removed from blues clubs. Performing in rock theaters and now arenas, he plays up his fluent guitar solos and plays down his adequate but uninvolving vocals, on Saturday there was little variation in his songs or solos. Too many of them moved from lines to wailing high notes to tremolo strumming. Mr. Vaughan seems trapped by his idiom, while Mr. Beck revels in his.

question?,if you don't like Jeff Beck, why are you here?,sharing your view of his playing, technique, and personna is ENTIRELY irrelevant to those of us who recognise his unique approach and phrasings. Also, are you a globally acknowledged guitarist?,ah,i guess not.

I love Beck , he has total control on his instrument , but I do not like this bass player Wilkenfield .. She has so many feeling than a garbage truck in a field of flowers ...
