I always believed we got the best of that deal because we had Gallas in his best years age 24 to 29 and sold him and got in Ashley Cole who was approaching his prime and has shown better form at Chelsea than Arsenal. Gallas won nothing at Arsenal and Ashley Cole has won a premiership title, 3 FA cups and a league cup at Chelsea since the transfer. Shows who got the better deal doesn't it?

@DonforDead He may have been doing well at the time, but he'd just had 2 poor years (for him). Now I'd obviously take that statement back, because he kept that form going and for the past 2 seasons he's been the best LB on the planet.

Gallas is an outstanding defender, and i have a lot of respect for him. Screw 30 million for Sheva - Gallas for Cole was by far Jose's worst move.
