  • Yoga is a process of self-inquiry. The people who stand to benefit the most from yoga are those who are unhappy with their lives. Start with simple, natural movements, set sequences, which become a way to train (discipline) the mind, which lead towards self-rediscovery (sometimes cult-ishly labeled 'self-transformation'). It is the unhappiness in a person's life that leads to suffering, and a process of self-rediscovery is necessary to alleviate that suffering. Yoga provides that method.

  • I used to have a Yoga Teacher who was a banker in London when I was fourteen who was very non-committal. Sometimes he'd show up, other times he'd stand us all up - a class of 14. And there was no structure to the practice... very disappointing.

"The disciplined are free" - That's what I needed to hear today.

  • Very true! I always feel better when I keep my commitments even if I have to push myself more than I may want to in the moment. I like how you connected that with asana practice. Keep posting. You're stuff is great!

  • All I have to say is AMEN BROTHER!

  • very inspiring, eye-opening and thought-provoking. thank you

  • Thank you for this. I wish all yoga students could see this. Dedicated practice brings many blessings, esp during the difficult times. It is in the darkest times when we find the light. Infinite blessings on your path. Namaste.
