Illegal sulky race on the Cork - Mallow Rd. Apparently the horses' names are Russian Lady and Chrissy's Philly.

Five jailed over Cork sulky race 08/02/2013

Five men have been sentenced to five months in jail each for dangerous driving during a sulky race on the main Cork-Limerick road last year.

At Cork District Court today, Judge Olan Kelleher said he was imposing the five month sentence on each of the five to indicate the gravity of the matter and the lack of respect they had shown for other road users when racing two horse drawn sulkies on the main N20 near Blarney at about 8am on May 5th, 2012.

they are not respectful folk, as a horse owner myself I have the police at my door regularly to remove those travelers, they use my land to park their caravans, they steal my water, they steal my roof slats (and lead) they have stolen my bikes (both motor and push) they regularly race down the dual carriageway i use frequently, and they have recently stolen 3 of my friends horses, she is powerless to steal them back as they threatened to 'kill her' if she tried. so no, thy are NOT respectful

endangering peoples lives is a crime, using animals as a weapon is a crime, abusing the horses is a crime, tethering the horses 24 hours a day to a metal chain left with weeping sores is a crime, abandoning a tethered emaciated horse is a crime, stealing from honest working people is a crime, I could write more but sadly there is a word limit.

Stupid to have a race on the road during traffic. Stupid to use horses on that surface.....i guess they are just stupid people in this video. Makes me more happy with myself that i got rspca in Galway to take 3 horses away from there stupid owners.
