This was one of the dumber appraisals. This guy obviously knows how much this thing is worth. Antiques roadshow is about people taking an old bed spread of their bed and finding out it was a one of a kind sewn by an apache indian and worth 25K. Not about someone going to Christies auction last year and finding out their piece of art purchased for million is now worth a million and 5.

@rargpilt Pretentious? It's true. This bronze object may or may not still be highly desirable when 100 years old (for most, the definition of 'antique') but tastes and the market can change in unpredictable and surprising ways. My guess is it will be melted down for scrap sooner than you think.
