I agree that Richie lost relevance in this version and it's such a shame 'cause it's his song (my opinion)! But once in a while it's good to hear something different... I think Kid Rock is a cool dude and I really liked that he toured with the Bon Jovi guys! Perhaps Kid should have rehearse a bit more, and there should have been more harmony in the song as well but it rocked!!

@sloche291 fail...yes bon jovi play the songs live half a step down..but if kid rocks guitar was at standard tuning he would be playing it half a step up...not down
