Christopher Bowman - What a Wonderful World

Here is Chris' exhibition at the 1989 US Nationals. He was at the absolute pinnicle of his career here, just taken over the title from Brian Boitano.

Nice to hear from a fellow fan...I'm still in awe every time I watch one of his performances. No one like him today, not even close.

tara3804, I feel so bad for him (although I know he would not want me to). Watching Bowman always brings tears to my eyes (where else). What a talent. RIP BOWMAN!!

I always liked watching Bowman, he always put on a show. Then I read about his demons and liked / felt for him even more. What a talent. And it must have hurt him to hear such negative comments by others . . . they know who they are. RIP BOWMAN . . . THE SHOWMAN!!

He was ephemeral, passionate, impossible to control. Watching him in a later interview, when he was older and out of shape, he expressed regret. I'm not sure HE even knew his own potential, although his fans saw it. Bless him!
