  • Nice and upright? I dont get any stress on my back if im "nice and upright". :( He also says in the first part 1 of these vids that people have a tendency to drop their ass..well how in the world am i supposed to be nice and upright if im not dropping my ass...confused.

  • My back hurts but 345x2 at 160 is pretty good weight

  • Mark is soo right, its a fucking back exersise. I hate it when people tell me put more legs into it! i bend down till shns hit the bar and then chest up..perfec form each time. @ 180 pulling 330x5 i think im doing somthing right.

  • @armenianderick Reach is usually your height LOL. Measure arm length, as short arms = broad shoulders.

  • all he says is right but does that mean that if you have a shitty deadlifter structure you can't deadlift? based on my experience no you can't at least not the regular deadlift I personally do the sumo and I can lift much more weight with less risk of injury

  • @sugmegpls As it seems from the video, you only want to do deadlifts if you can get the correct posture; if you can line up all the parts right while watching yourself in the gym mirror and it looks relatively like Rip says it does, I'd imagine it's probably okay.

  • What is avg reach?

    The reason i ask is because im about 5'8-9 and have about 66-68in reach. How is my build for deadlifting?

  • He's just a shitty deadlifter.

  • A man once told Rippetoe that he could deadlift, but rippetoe said no.
