These boots were made for walking

This is my dog. She is a Yorkie. She was just under seven years old when this video was shot, and is now nine and a half. Yes, I put shoes on her. I only did it once. She wore them for maybe five minutes total. It had been raining for over a week and she doesn't like getting her feet wet, so walks were becoming an issue. Basically, you'd open the door and she'd pee in the doorway when she saw the rain, or if you carried her out, she'd stand in the rain shivering and lifting her paws one at a time because she didn't like them being wet. I thought keeping her feet dry might help her, but she didn't care for the shoes so I took them off her and never put them on her again.

No, it is not torture. No, it was not cruel. No, the barrette is not stupid, it keeps her hair from getting in her eyes where it can get matted and keep her from seeing. Yes, she has a stupid haircut, but I live in AZ where the temperature hits 115 on a regular basis in the summer. Forcing her to wear a full coat would be crueler than five minutes of boots.

I am college educated, I am not a crazy cat lady, I am not unable to have children and that's why I dressed my dog, and I do not condone cruelty to animals.
