i gotta say that after only picking the game back up last year after nearly 15 years away from it.. i'm still amazed by how guy's like Larry Nevel can make it look so effortless. i can only wish to develop that kind of ball control.

Made a great attempt at a near impossible hit.

Larry nevel just loves to play pool. I've played with him several times and as long you're rackin, he'll mess around on the table with just about anybody.

By the way, I don't get what's so "sick" about Nevel's safety shot at all, natural path of the cue ball, after all.

The kick attempt shows Nevel's opponent could in fact have hit the 1 that way AND gotten safe. More impressive than it seems at first sight. Sure, one tends to get a bit close to that 9, but other than that, there's plenty of space around the 2 and the side pockets. Not a poor attempt at all!

Was this part of the tournament, or were they just messing around? Larry does stuff like this all the time. He plays great billiards and one-pocket, so a shot like this is pretty natural for him.

He definitely didn't have the angle right on the kick... To his credit though, he was probably a little sick to his stomach going up to the table.
