My original comment was completely appropriate given what we know about the case. WHEN you have some new information, feel free to let me know, and I'll be glad to reconsider my statements. Until then, speculating about "mitigating circumstances" is completely pointless.

Naw, you're just an idiot who doesn't understand the concept of "innocent until proven guilty". I don't need to justify anything - you need to show that it wasn't justified. Again - positing scenarios for which there is no evidence makes you sound like a cretin.

@c6gunner How do you know the officer hadn't been abusing the kid? The kid brought a knife. Maybe he was prepared for a reason. Making assumptions about something you don't have the full story on just makes you sound ignorant and trigger happy.
