  • THAT WAS GREAT!!

Man, I can just tell you really love guitar...and everything having to do it

You're a great player and know what you're talking about

I'm thinking about getting A tele Texas Special...the one that has the strat pickup in the middle

Would it be possible to get this PU set with a strat pickup in the middle...something strong and bluesy, yet still goes well with this set

    Thanks!

  • RE: yo: @StreeTRacR008

    oh- yea - thanks!!

hey we call that 3-pickup set up the "Nashville Tele" - it ads another $80.00 to any set =for that middle Strat pickup..

  • hey don, how does this p'up sound through your classic fenders, esp. clean? can it do rockabilly and country or is it best suited for this style of music? thanks sir. btw, who knew mr. mare could play like that??? holy moly.

  • its very-versital!!

search my channel "60svibe" the same guitar is played clean on a few clips including thru a "Rock-a-billy"~Oil Can Echo!!

these specs and mags pretty much cover most all the Tele years we have heard on Records!

    cheers

    Don Mare

  • The pedal is alot like a Mastero FZ1 but with a few mods. and all English parts - Mullard-OC81D's and Wima Caps - Carbon Comp Resistors - its a copy of a old pedal that mayhave belonged to Jeff Beck around the same time when Jimmy Page got his from Rodger Mayer. there was 8 of these said to be made then - Page and Beck got one - all of this info was denied by Mayers Camp - so we stopped caring if its really it or not - cause we like them better the Tonebenders for LZ-1 tone here!

  • Just In:

it is not an modified FZ-1, but simply a MKII Tone Bender with some slightly different part values.

  • Very nice tone! Is that hum because of the pups or amp?

  • @60svibe Right on. ;-)

  • Really nailed the tone in the second half of the video

  • Good to know! I thought it's just because of the high gain and the single coils... you're getting a sweet sound out of that old amp. Must be those hands.

  • @60svibe

Actually, that Squier SSH is really piquing my interest

The one with the Mini-Hum neck, Middle Strat and Bridge Tele pups

Now, I'm not as knowledgeable with single coils as i am with hums...but why is the Jimmy Page wound so low? The lowest DC wind that Seymour has is like a 7.2 for the bridge?

I'm gonna try to go for Keefer in the neck, Vaughn in the Middle, and Jimmy in the Bridge bahahaa

So would it be possible to only buy the Bridge tele pup and the middle strat pup?

  • mate, you have NAILED the tele/zep tone with that set! makes me wanna get another tele...
