@ysgeye The C1 is cardioid. It would only pick up from the rear if it has a Figure-8 or Omni polar pattern.

Respond to this video... why does every tutorial have to be about microphone's? just buy the best you can afford & experiment for yourselt (no 2 studios are alike). But props for not boring us with typical acoustic strumming - yuck. But honestly, where does a guy have to go to get some pointers on actual "analog recording" without being told the obvious about microphone over & over again?
