this is a very good video.

you should prevent head on collision with the knife. This video exhibit the three ways to do it. Redirect, blend and evade. Also the technique uses both hand to control the knife. It then attacks the assailant. It finishes by taking the knife away. I prefer this technique than the techniques thought in our own martial arts, Arnis.

This video is much better than the early videos.
It actually has some valid points about improper techniques that can get you killed.
Could a woman effectively use these techniques? It seems that they depend upon equal strength for the two parties.

every situation changes with size, angles and body position. We have to learn how to adjust for every circumstance. Whether we are a man or women our attackers vary in size. We all have to learn different reactions based on our opponents size, strength and speed.

The mistakes are inspired from these other arts. Combat Sense is a result of basic Seicho Jutsu

He says a lot of great things. Myself, I'm thinking, who is going to stab like that? Stabs don't come from a mile away and with a step forward as far as I'm concerned. Maybe a dummy or a drunkard, but if the guy knows anything, the knife will be maneuvered from the wrist and elbow. So think about that before you "shoot your body out of the way," because you are moving your *entire* body compared to the guy's elbow and wrist, which can switch directions must faster than your body.

I doubt that you can match hand spead with hand spead, so it's most important to move your body out of the way. If your body is close enough for someone to reach you, you will be stabbed. Your body should be moving out of the way before someone is close enough to reach you with the knife.
