low budget music video from the Glasgow Diamonds American Football team in Scotland, from 1986. The song is called 'Diamond Rap' and is sung by Paul Birchard.

The record was produced by Bill Padley, who is now an Ivor Novello award-winning producer who has had a string of hits with Atomic Kitten, Ronan Keating, The Fugees, and Gareth Gates among others.

The video was made by Brian Keeley, and was voted best football music video by CBS Television and screened during CBS's Superbowl broadcast in 1987... YES, seriously!

  • fucking good, just saw this from tv =D

  • hilarious, but very catchy. (don't tell anyone I said that though)

  • this is epic

  • Someone should make a film about these guys and their adventures. Where are they now?

  • in the short 18 years i have been alive, i have never seen anything so terrible yet so catchy, funny shit!

  • This is just . . .Brilliant . . .

  • My flatmate played for the Diamonds. He will never be allowed to forget this shit.

  • ROFL this is hilarious :P

  • Of course the Diamonds were household names in their day. There was Big Gus, Tommy Boy, Donny 'The Shoe' McDoo and who could forget legendary quarterback Diamond Jimmy Rogers.

People may joke that all 80s raps sounded the same but it was the law back then.
