Joe P.O.V
Everyone always bugs me about getting a wife. For a matter of fact all of the princesses around here are all spoiled rotten brats. Hell I would probably treat half of my maids better than them. Most of my maids say that I am a pretty cool King. I don't boss them around too much, like I don't yell or anything. When I'm not busy I sometimes hang out with my maids. A lot of them grew up here and we are around the same age so we grew up together.
It's 8 pm and I'm getting ready for bed. My maid Demi brought me some warm water and then I sent her to her cabin. I wash my face and lay down on my bed. I thought about my dad who died when I was 15. I'm 19 now so I've been King for 4 years, still no wife and no heir. My dad was one of those Kings with multiple wives. When I was born my mom became the queen, not just a lady. She was his first wife so I thought that it was only right. When I was 4 they also had another baby, my little sister Kaylyn. She's 15 now, the age I was when I became King. When my dad died all of his other wives left. I haven't heard from them since. Wait actually my dad's 5th wife Ashley tried to get me to marry her.
I thought about my childhood. My dad was never a mean King, I think that's where I get it from. He was my role model. I became amazing friends with Demi, she was probably my best friend. My mother and father didn't care. I mean she has been a maid ever since she was born. She is 2 years younger than me so she is 17. She is the only maid that isn't afraid to speak her mind to me. I personally think all of the other maids think she's wishing for her death by talking to me like that. The truth is she knows all of my secrets and she's not afraid to stand up to me. She's my chef/personal maid. All of my guards know if they even touch her they are dead, but they don't know why.
---next morning---
Demi P.O.V.
I walk up to Joe's room... or should I say the King's room... ha-ha yeah right. He is grumpy when he wakes up. He isn't much of a morning person. I set his food tray on his table then walk over to his side.
"Joseph, your Majesty wake up."
"Since when am I your Majesty from u?" he asks sleepily
"Get up"
"No!" Omg he's such a little baby
"Remember last time I said I would bring a bucket of ice to dump on u." I asked
"You wouldn't!!"
"Oh but I will." I smirked. He jumped right up and glared at me. I smirked and got his robe. He put it on then sat at his table. I sat across from him and watch him.
Joe P.O.V.
I look at Demi, she's beautiful. I'm really glad she's my bff. I feed her some of the food she cooked for me. She's an amazing cook, that's why she's my chef and personal maid. She smiles up at me. Whenever I see her smile my heart skips a beat. I've loved her ever since we were little. I have never told her I don't think she loves me bk. She cooks me to much food so I always cook her some; I think she does it on purpose. I don't mind. My mom always bugs me about why I haven't asked her out. This is strange coming from a king and all, but I'm scared. What if she doesn't feel the same way? I look at her; she's staring out the window. She loves the view from my room; I am the king so I do have the best view in my whole castle. And may I tell you my castle is huge. My dad had almost 15 wives and they all had their own tower. He added a lot of towers onto this place. If I had my painting stuff I would paint a picture of her. She has the perfect lighting on her features from the sunlight. I finish eating and go to my restroom to get dressed. I walk out and Demi isn't there. She must have taken my tray downstairs. I walk down the stairs that lead right into the entrance for the kitchen. Yeah she's in there. I smile and walk in. all of the kitchen staff sees me and bows, every except Demi. I nods slightly showing them I acknowledged them and that they can get up and get back to work. Demi looks at me.
"Yes Joseph?" She asks
"Would you like to come out to the garden with me?" I smile sweetly leaning with my elbows keeping me up.
"Sure." She smiles back. And there we go my heart skipping a beat.
