Three deposits of pollen were placed near the entrance. The pollen in the front and on the right hand side of the entrance drew the bees attention. I have recently begun supplementary feeding the hive to help support the hive during winter. Due to the recent drought conditions many of the large native trees in the area, which support the bees with pollen have died. After a few weeks of supplementary feeding I have observed that the bees population numbers are slowly increasing.
