  • Freedom of religion.

    Unless you're Catholic.

  • If you are offended by the mention of God, then you are offended by everything else. Except for when you are offending others.

  • The pledge the original way it was written before the nut jobs hijacked it!

  • However if you pay attention the animators did do small things here and there to remind us that some of those nasty little details did happen. I love this cartoon because the emphasis was on what this nation is supposed to stand for, and i'm sorry but if you paid any attention to the laws and bills that have been being past, hell the people who are attempting to get running fodder for this coming presidental election...this comment is continuing-

  • @Dinuial thank you for that!

I just wanted to say to some of the people here, that you are really missing the point and don't seem to understand the actual definition of patriot or patriotic. In some way this is downright a propaganda cartoon. Skipping over all of things we've done as a nation that contradict the message.... this comment is continuing-

  • They need to make more stuff like this today. America's youth need to be taught to unconditionally love their land from the day of their birth to their heart's final beat.

  • Screen this to occupy commies.

  • When the pledge was first given official recognition by congress in 1942 it read "one nation indivisible. The words "under god" were added during the red scare ('54) under the insistence that doing so was anti-comunist. We are and have always been one nation under the law, a law which guarantees the freedom to think, speak, and worship as one so chooses and not by the dictates of another.

  • Chuck Jones masterpiece.

  • If you think about it , when this cartoon first came out that part wasn't in the Pledge... If you don't believe me look up the VIDEO of Red Skeleton- The Pledge.
