you could try taking the pickgaurd off and looking at the dates on the pots. or of you take the neck off the date should be written where the neck joins the body. and you could also try a guitar dater on the internet where you type in the serial number and it could come. id try all three.

Hey, how can one trace down the year a Strat was made? I have one which was purchased back in 1983-1884 but it was used when I got it. I am sure it was made in late 70's-early 80's but how can I find out for sure?
