  • I can still see them at the Fillmore east in NYC. They always opened their set with this song. From the 1st note you were assaulted b this massive orchestral electric wall of sound. NO ONE had a better sound live then The HARUM. And man was it rocking, ethereal, haunting, beautiful and powerful all in one. I still love this group 40 years later.Procol 4 ever!!!

  • ...they don't make 'um like this anymore...LONG LIVE PROCOL HARUM!

hope you enjoy me singing these PH great songs...

  • Yep, still opening with it (saw them in pacific northwest just few days back!), absolutely fabulously brilliant song. Dynamite opening, gives me the chills, esp. organs, combo of piano, organs & guitar (their sound). There were songs I wish they had played (esp. no song from the Exotic, alas), but this is one of must haves that was included.

  • @Tad449,I was also there at Westbury, great set no doubt.Barrie (BJ) Wilson is still the soul of Procol Harum.I got chills on some numbers they did.I wish they wouldve played Still there'll be more and Grand Hotel.Hell I wish they played EVERYTHING!!!!

  • @Deagledrumzz

Still opening with it. Saw them in Westbury LI this past weekend - made the trek form Boston. We got the entire In Held as part of an encore - they payed and payed. I still miss BJ- thanks for the post

  • one of the main reasons why I am so into Procol is not only b/c of their incredibly creative music and beautifully written lyrics, but also mostly b/c of Gary Brooker's voice which is just simply mind blowing how good his voice is. I cant imagine anyone else singing a procol's song...

  • No drugs needed to enjoy great music. Just use a quality headset and the music and lyrics will take over your mind. Writing like this is hard to find these days too. Still great to listen to and your right "mobyvan", Trower didn't really get a lot of exposure except for maybe a song like "Simple Sister" where he could play the way he really wanted to.

  • This is the best organ solo ever conceived. Fucking awesome.

  • I saw thses guys twice, once in '73 and at a re-union in 1991. Each time they "tore", the place up. The best performance band, ever. Really really good. Thanks.
