The Vietnamese are a resilient people In spite of their suffering,
They're also very friendly and warm, and full of national pride
In Vietnam the old and the new live comfortably side by side
Hanoi is elegantly French with beautiful tree-lined boulevards and classic architecture.
The old quarters beckon...the antiquated mazes of streets, filled with shops, outdoor restaurants and cafes, captivate.
Ho chi min city is vibrant and modern, bustling with street life.
Authentic markets, chic bars, and stylish young women wearing long gloves (are visual) delights
Crossing the streets in Ho chi min city is an adventure. the traffic literally, never stops. But don't panic. Cross slowly, steadily, and somehow the traffic gos around you.

I'm going back to Vietnam this year. It has its beautiful places, I agree. But don't be fooled, it is still behind many years and I'm not gonna even mention its infrastructure. It's a very slow progress for the common people, a fast one for the rich ones..only.

and my uncle LIVES in vietnam. the rest of my family living there either farms or work in factories and in factories they only make $2/hour.

people are protesting over there right now for higher wages and it still hasnt gone up. You dont hear about this in the media b/c the media doesn't care about VN unless a HUGE disaster happens like a tsunami. The only truthful fact i heard in this video was about how we vietnamese are resilient and friendly and proud of our nationality. THAT IS TRUE.

We hear you and are sorry. I think you'd have to agree that the country is much more open, more free and very much more visited by tourists from around the world than ever before.

Is it completely "free"? Is the US? Don't think so. Is it more free. Yes, we believe so!

I like how the video was made and how they mention all the good thing, but not all are true. I like all the natural view and all that but there more to vietnam then just this video, so you have to really visit vietnam for yourself to see if it that great!!!!!!!
