  • The bridge starting @ 0:52 is pretty special.

  • Thanks for your comment. The bridge you refer to is a model of the Royal Albert Bridge in Saltash, which allows the line to cross the River Tamar. Originally designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel to carry 2 tracks, in reality was only single-tracked because of cost constraints. It is now a major bottleneck on rail services in the region. At least the model is faithful to Brunel's original design!

  • is the layout in your backyard or at a club?

  • Hi, thanks for your interest. This line is in a back garden in Hampshire, England. Not mine, though - unfortunately! I was just lucky enough to get to visit it one time.

  • Saw that garden track on Garden Railway. What a fantastic line. The Isambard Kingdom Brunel bridge is the best one however.

  • I did too, and I absolutely agree with you!
