youre right, that our so called modern society is also hypocrite. But that so called liberal 68 movement , who still claims they are the only ones who free our society, saw De Sade as a hero as a liberater of sex. I call him a fascist because he propaged "survival of the fitest, violence against the weak, rape, mirder and so on"

he is way overrated as a writer and his books are poisonously boring. at least the one i read 3/4 of 20 years ago. and yeah, all those stuffed shirts primping and preening on about how great he is, are most likely pseudo acadamia and bland in lifestyle and church goers who thrive in front of the cameras.
