All the settlements should be removed but the wall is there because they were shooting people. When I traveled to Bethlehem and around Jerusalem there were also walls on the highway because they were doing the same things like shooting cars of Israelis and Palestinians. Allot of people think that all Israelis want the occupation but that is falls. I have talked to both sides and the say that they want to live together in peace. But unfortunately that is not the case because of stupid radicals,

You're telling me a brutal military occupation has radicalised the Palestinians in Gaza. No kidding. As long as the occupation exists the radicalisation will continue. The Irish fought a brutal occupation for 500 years. Now they have self-determination they have embraced peace and enjoy good relations with the English. Violence perpetuates violence. Arafat explicitely accepted the two state solution and Israel's right to exist in 1988 and even the USA accepted his statement as clear.

As soon as Israel withdrew its troops from Gaza Hamas took control(73% people voted for it).Don't you see this.When Israel withdraws its settlements, Hamas and Hezbollah take control over it with the help of Jordan,only to fire more rockets on the innocent Israelis. You know why?have you heard them chanting "from the river(Jordan river) to the sea(Mediterranean), Palestine will be free,which means obliteration of Jewish state.Arafat told this in 70.what does your Geneva convention do then?

Hamas is in control of Gaza but not the West Bank, and even in Gaza their support is nowhere near unanimous. After the election Hamas held only 12 of the 25 cabinet positions in the unity government. If the peace process was seen to be working their support would evaporate. Annexation of occupied territories is illegal under international law and the settlements are a clear breach of the Geneva Convention, so illegal as far as the overwhelming majority of the world is concerned.

Hamas doesn't speak for all Palestinians and only enjoys the support it does because the people have been radicalized by 40+ years of brutal and illegal occupation and have lost faith in a peace process that has been undermined by Israeli intransigence. The Palestinian Declaration of Independence (which was accepted with 253 in favour 46 against and 10 abstentions) and the accompanying PNC communiqué and Arafat's statements at Geneva a month later accept Israel's right to exist.
