The Ultimate Electric Vehicle, which never needs to be recharged, uses no fuel like gasoline or the like, you simply stop at a URECA (Unlimited Range Electric Car Systems)Battery Charge/Exchange Station and swap batteries AUTOMATICALLY in SECONDS. You dont even have to get out of the car. Fully patented.

  • "studies indicate"?

that's bullshit. battery swap will play a role with Project Better Place to begin with but the problem with battery swap is they have to agree on standards, every swap station has to have all types and in plenty supply to service a surge of cars and you can't own your battery, you are stuck with a subscription fee. so no, battery swap will not be the solution. 6 minute recharge will however.

  • Can't seem to find the video I uploaded on the battery swap taking less than a minute? Hint: Click on my username.

If H2 stations can be ubiquitous, so can battery swap stations. Why the preference for H2 when electricity already goes more places than Oil and can be generated on site?

Golly, gee, Payola - just a guy worried about our energy future, eh regular Joe?

  • Actually apart from I.C.E., battery would have been the best (taking into account ambient temperayture conditions (etc)) but the problem is its useable range (far shorter than even a very thirsty gas guzzler) if the electronic comforting gadgets of modern cars are not to be compromised. For H2, the car owner may not have the equipment but H2 fuel stations will probably be available fairly ubiquitously (like modern gasolene ones). Battery exchanges may be more cumbersome than gas tank filling.

  • Actually, there is just 1thing to remind you of b4 I move along: THE MONEY, and who is making it. Batteries and electricity are no mystery. We have purchased them for a long time, and we know each has multiple solutions and sources. Oil comes from one place. Hydrogen is actually easy enough to extract, but since it will be put into cars under high pressure, the homeowner will not have the equipment.

So, since electric cars with batteries cut out the profit 4 oil or hydrogen companies?...

  • Hydrogen Fuel Cells provide power, they still need something to drive the wheels - so they use Electric Motors (fuel is for engines, electricity is for motors).

Plenty here on YouTube to search for, I recommend "White Zombie drag race".

Also, I uploaded a vid on quick battery replacement for e-vehicles.

The rest is up to you, it's a "horse to water" thing. Bye.

  • OK. but to me I dont think any form of E.V. 'engines' will ever beat the I.C.E. the best which I think is closer to I.C.E. (internal combustion engine) is the hydrogen fuel cell (second to hydrogen-only fuel I.C.E.). However we are aware that anticompetitive measures by the large oil companies may usurp viable non-gasolene I.C. or E.V. vehicles as money talks (which is evil and stupid)!

  • Make no mistake: Exxon made 42 Billion dollars PROFIT (not mere Revenue) in 3 months during the latest, highest gasoline price period. That kind of profit means Big oil has profit to protect, and money to spend doing it.

From a reliable source: Chevron successfully lobbied to shut down a Japanese Panasonic electric vehicle battery factory. It makes me re-think capitalism.

If we demand it, the better technology will win: Search here on YT: "Electric Car Wheel" and "In-Wheel Motor".

  • My 4WD truck has a steel plate guard for the oil pan, but if you mean ground clearance, they will be the same in an I.C.E. or an Elec. vehicle. ICE Heads are just below the hood and heavy. Batteries can be any shape - why not mount them low?

There ARE E.V. challenges to overcome. A.C. is a power hog, that's just the summer challenge... The best solutions are better batteries, efficient components (LED's, etc.).

Drive them or not, many E.V.'s on the road will lower the cost of gasoline.

  • Ok thanx; but how about the danger of high impact by uneven ground surfaces? Also, electric vehicles will have significantly less electrical luxury gadgets than I.C.E. gasolene engines (aside from the much shorter ranges before ''refuelling''). It is good for the environment, but a lot of work still needs to be done in order to favorably match its Internal Combustion Engine (I.C.E.) counterpart.

  • Access to the battery is easiest from underneath. Since an electric-only vehicle has far fewer components (battery, motor) mounting these low on a vehicle lowers the center of gravity & improves the handling. 2 things: 1. While the battery is mounted low, the electrical contacts can be high AND sealed. Electric vehicles do not take in air, so they COULD be submerged - unilke an internal combustion engine.

Batteries will be reused with 3 phase electricity charging, faster/better than oil.
