  • CrackerJack your view of the world is dependent on the view that efficiency of production is the number one thing. However you only see short term. Organic farming takes half the amount of energy as modern farming methods. The only reason modern farming is feasible is cheap fossil fuel. Which will not forever. Also government subsidizes industry and pay for water pollution to be clean which was caused by farming run offs.

Do some research on the neurotoxins ect. in modern products n peak oil.

  • Ugh... this is enough to just make me ill.

    Wake up people!

  • i used the word exploited. Canadians are asleep at the wheel anyway.

  • I understand the concept of free trade and global commerce. No explanation needed.

"nothing is Canadian. even natural resources are exploited here. all our banks make as much money in the world as they do in Canada."

You say that like its a good thing because it gives us more paper currency. Look at the buying power of money and the trends behind that. Look at the quality of food being out putted by highly industrialized nations its complete shit. Look at the land value of deforested land.

  • i don't want to explain the whole Trilateral Commission again, but divide North America into three lateral blocks: canada, america, mexico. that is, resources, management, labour. the basis for NAFTA...

  • nothing is Canadian. even natural resources are exploited here. all our banks make as much money in the world as they do in Canada. the economy is a world economy. nothing is national in business. it's naive to think that way anymore. why did GM close up shop? they're moving work to Mexico. study the movement of the car carrier railway cars. right now, they're parked in oshawa and detroit. but in the night they will be going to Mexico. watch them and see.

  • they still pay taxes to Canada on profits made here. in fact it's better for harper because they get less tax write offs. as for jobs, it would be nuts to buy a foreign company and then lay everyone off, retrain new employees and move the plant thousands of miles away. what would they gain? it's like tim hortons. everyone thinks its a Canadian company, but it's really international. their head office has just been moved to Canada temporarily to enjoy a tax loop hole.

  • It is not about who owns the company its about in which country jobs are created to what government taxes are paid.

  • canada exports raw oil to the US for cash with which it buys refined oil from norway. this avoids expensive pipelines and refineries. also the US covers our defence. did you think that was free? don't create panics where none exist. canada is rich and getting richer.

  • the Canadian Gov't has laws and leases to constrain corporations (albeit weak ones). so why create an emergency where there is none? if Canada prevents the buying and selling of corps, they will become uncompetetive and meet an early demise anyway.
