Not to be confused with the English prog rock band The Nice.
Nice were an Australian jangle pop group featuring Randall Lee, Suzannah Stewart-Lindsay and Francesca Bussey. Nice released two albums.

This is the first track on their self-titled debut album, Nice, released on Feel Good All Over in 1992.

Enjoy :)

  • i love this song!

i haven't been able to find it anywhere for years.

how did you get this version?

and do you have the whole album?

i would love to have this on my ipod

  • @floydconnecticut

I am so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner! I got my copy off Amazon a few years ago for a dollar. I can send you the album, though! Check your messages!

  • I don't mean to be offensive by this question, but what is the sexuality of the lead singer of this band, or do the lyrics gender-bend on purpose

  • @nilperos

No worries, it confused me at first, too. I think they made it seem ambiguous on purpose. I imagine it's about a cuckolded boyfriend reading a "Dear John" letter from his girlfriend who left him for another man and is madly and completely delusionally in love with this guy. They're both desperate for something they can't reach.

  • @orgonetrail I have been looking for this album since I found out about Nice through Pete & Pete. I have the second album, but can't find the first anywhere. If there is anyway I could get it from you - that would be awesome.

  • This is godly.

  • I had only heard Aden's cover of this song. Just remembered today that it was a cover and thought to look it up. Nice to hear the original. Very nice.

  • This is Randall from Sydney band The Cannanes and Ashtray Boy. Short lived 3-piece who were great. I have a copy of this song on vinyl on a compliation album 'Blunt' from Bob Blunt fanzine including Crow, Monroes Fur and abovementioned Cannanes (track down book 'Blunt-A biased history of Australian Rock for further reading of Australian bands from this era - discusses The Scientists, X, Plug Uglies, Distant Locust, Box the Jesuit, Lubricated Goat, Craven Fops, Phelgm, King Snake Roost, Thug etc

  • @floydconnecticut

I just got the whole album off of Amazon, but I don't know if there's any copies left. I might post some songs on my alt. account.
