at the Gainesville Lange Eye Care location Doctor Michael Lange, Ocala / Gainesville optometrist, treats a patient having keratoconjuntivitis sicca or dry eye syndrome - one of the most under-diagnosed or wrongly diagnosed conditions especially for people who are on a computer a lot. As explained during this dry eye exam by a board certified eye doctor, patients may think they have pink eye because their eyes may burn, itch or frequently become irritated. Dry eye treatments include using an unpreserved artificial tear like Oasis Tears Plus, and proper lid hygiene with OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Foam (Original Foaming Eyelid Cleanser). Drops for dry eyes can be treatments for dry eyes or itchy eyes. Dr. Lange reveals the best drops for dry eyes, and how a good eye lubricant can help with dry eyes.

Dry eyes can be treated through better nutrition by sticking to a non-inflammatory diet like the Mediterranean or Paleolithic diet. Eat wild Alaskan salmon not farm raised which has orange dye. A good omega-3 supplement, triglyceride form fish oil is best, raise your omega index with Fortifeye Super Omega fish oil to reduce dry eyes, decrease risk of heart attack, good for heart, brain, skin, nails, joints, hair, reduce risk of stroke, slow chromosomal aging and decrease chance of cancers. Fortifeye Focus has the anti-inflammatory properties provided by astaxanthin . Benefits of astaxanthin increase with fish oil, helping to minimize fine lines and wrinkles in the face, helps lower cholesterol, improves muscle recovery and muscle endurance, plus astaxanthin is a potent anti-inflammatory and strong antioxidant. Gamma linolenic acid (GLA) helps resolve inflammation and stimulate a healthier tear film. Combine a good omega-3 source, astaxanthin and gamma linolenic acid for best results. Drink more filtered or bottled water, avoiding plastic bottles that release bisphenols into your system(ones with the 7 on the bottom are the worst), which are endocrine disruptors, a cause of dry eye. Lange Eye Care in Gainesville Florida is a state of the art eye center for diagnosing and treating dry eye. All of the latest technology including corneal topography,, orbscans, wave front aberrometers and omega blood tests are avaialble for the dry eye patient in the Gainesville location of Lange Eye Care

  • @weedaa11 Hey this is Dr. Michael Lange. If your vision fluctuation is related to dry eye syndrome then once you get the dry eyes under control you should have more stable vision. Proper nutrition is crucial for dry eyes! When you get a chance go to the Fortifeye website and read the article I wrote on natural treatment for dry eyes. Keep the faith.

  • Very informative. I just wanted to ask you if the vision fluctuation you mentioned will go away with time. Also how do I find an optomologist who knows how to treat dry eyes.I live in Toronto, Canada. The optomotrists and optomologists I have been to tell me I have dry eye, but aren't able to offer a traetment other than drops, which are next to useless.
