Congrats. I have been a member of meetup for 3 years now and made some solid friends and broadened my social circle. I agree with all your reasons and think it is a great time to try and inspire others to get out there and be active.

I also have to compliment the simplicity and cleanliness of the site. I am thankful that the dues keep the company running, profitable and ad free.

I LOVE YOU GUYS thanks for the website......... IT has CHANGED my LIFE!!!! soooo much for the better. way better than facebook that is for sure.... and i really enjoy facebook. thanks for this amazing site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my kids lead a happier life because of it. i promote it all the time. you should sell shirts.

Seriously  who the hell came up with the new layout, find that person and fire them ASAP! WTH were you thinking enabling any member of the group I pay for to create their own meets on my friggin dime?!?!?! I have joined the dues strike, I urge any and all organizers of meets to join as well. If you don't like the "new and improved" (seriously?!?!?!) layout go to your account and cancel your dues subscription until meetup starts listening to their paying customers!

It's definitely a good site. However, I'm not digging some or many of the format updates they made to the website, so far....

All those great comments made pre-newmeetup- I would be ITA with all. Meetup changed my life and those of scores of other people I know. Now look. Everything's turned sour. Why? Get to know what makes a great meetup. Realize that members and organizers make your company what it is. I'd like more member participation, too, but that's a matter solved through human psychology, not short-sighted software upgrades.

everything you've said WAS true, up till 2 days ago. now it's just kinda stuffed with this horrible UI. please fix it soon before I have no choice but to move to another platform
