American Sabotage of Palestinian Democracy

David Rose of Vanity Fair tells Amy Goodman of Democracy Now how the US Administration was involved, at the highest levels, in a covert operation already being dubbed Iran-Contra 2.0. The plot targeted the Hamas led legitimate Palestinian government which resulted from the land slide victory of Hamas in the 2006 legislative elections. Through similar tactics to those used in the Iran-Contra scandel, the State Department worked with four Arab countries on financing Fateh's strongman Mohammad Dahlan the leader of the wouldbe coup. His men were trained and armed in Egypt and Jordan. Weapons were payed for by Saudi and UAE. Another stark example of the hypocracy and incompetence of the US administration!!
