Travel to The Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is the jewel of the Caribbean. After visiting The Dominican Republic, Columbus said that there was no island in the world more beautiful.

One of the obvious reasons for visiting The Dominican Republic is to take advantage of the country's wonderful adventure opportunities. Visitors climb mountains, get wet and dirty, and thoroughly wear themselves out. There is so much to choose from that you could get confused, but our travel guide will help you to select destinations and adventure sports that suit you perfectly.

There are a large variety of adventure sports to choose from, or try them all! Activities include cannoning, cascading, caving, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, kite surfing, motorcycle trips, mountain biking, paragliding, quad bike riding, river rafting, rock climbing, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing and whale watching.

Although youll be exhausted if you try them all, doing these adventure sports is fun, and a sure-fire method to get fit and lose weight!

Beaches, economical resorts, delicious food, and rich natural beauty have always drawn visitors to The Dominican Republic. Punta Cana/Bávaro is one of the most famous places. It has the longest strip of white sand in the entire region, lined with coconut trees.

Swim with dolphins at Dolphin Island, or view wonderful exhibits of birds and other wildlife at Manati Park Bavaro.

Puerto Plata and Playa Dorada offer all sorts of water-based adventure sports.

One of the most popular breakfast dishes here is "mangu". It consists of plantains, cheese and bacon. For lunch, another popular dish is "La Bandera Dominicana".

Wash all the tasty food down with Presidente, an excellent tasting Dominican beer. Take some beer home with you to share with your friends when you tell them all about your wonderful Dominican Republic experiences.
