  • Your comment isn't very rigorous. Maybe you meant to say in any structural parts of a building. In a seismic or hurricane zone you can use any material; from wool to concrete. Even this type of material. In fact you can use any kind of material in any type of zone. Of course, as you can't use wool as structural component you can't use also aerate concrete for the same thing. but you definitely can use aerate concrete as filling material, like we use (also you in USA), glasswool or mineral wool.

  • The lax quality-control shown here would be adequate for producing concrete that's safe for use in... I dunno... a doll house? Maybe paver blocks for a private garden walkway...?

Yer killin' me with the jury-rigged Soviet methods. Please don't use this material in any seismic or hurricane zones. Thanks.

    As for the Soviet part....

Interest in this video is considerable from US. Even I don't think it's a soviet method.

  • It's just pepsi

You can try also Coca Cola, but i doubt that you can do it better ;)

For a concrete mixer I used a recipe of 3 buckets of sand, one and a half cement, 7-10 l water depending on how wte is sand and foam. Recipe for foam is 3% foam agent diluted in water (theoretically). Basically we used 50 ml per liter of water, ie 5% and for a batch I used 1.5 l of 5% solution. Of course, if you put more cement the stronger the concrete will be, but I don't think that a proportion more than 50% cement will do any good.

  • great work...i want to cast 15 cube of size 15 x 15 x 15cm can u tell me the proportion of cement , sand, water and foam agent, water in foam..??

  • Excellent video thanks, what is the name of the foam, or where can I have it?

  • could you use baking soda and vinegar to make the foam and use the soap solution and mix it?

  • I was wondering about how this would work in an application where you are making a tile.

Is the idea to make this a lighter material/medium to work with, compared to terra cotta

or clay tile? This is kind of intriguing.

  • If you want to buy some foaming agent in small quantity email info@propump.co.uk ask for Propump26 its great.

  • more water = less strength concrete
