@FrozenAtrox try a 50 1.4 or a 1.8, perfect for videos in low light
-
@nawaryoussef1 oh thanks

@101blackopsfan I bought a t3i from bestbuy on black friday, so I got a discount on it, if I purchased it with the camera, but now looking for the 50 mm USM but it's so expensive.

@slrlens @FrozenAtrox on my channel you got e.g. valborg 561 and valborg 648 shot handheld with this lens in tele and IS enabled (due to crowd noise, the IS noise is not noticible). It's okay, but not smooth like you get from a tripod. But basically, if you want to film handleld tele and accept silly movements when you move the lens, it works.

@faisaladh Hi, well, the lenses do look different upon inspection, just built slightly differently, I find the Sigma lenses have a slightly duller sheen to them. I believe the Canon 70-300mm F4L only comes in white.

Did you take any of the images in the video with a tripod?

@InspiredChair No, all images were taken hand-held.

Hi, I am new to DSLR's and recently purchased a Canon 450D. I would like to buy a bigger lens than the 18-55mm it came with. I am having trouble choosing between the Canon 55-250mm IS and the 70-300mm IS USM. I would appreciate it if you could tell me which one takes better quality images overall.
Thanks alot.

@elmacker1977 I think both lenses produce pretty good images. The 55-250mm doesn't have the USM motor, which might make it a bit slower, noisier. On the upside, the 55-250mm is quite a bit cheaper than the 70-300mm. If you've got the money, it might be worth looking into the Canon 70-200mm F4L lens - superior image quality as it's an L lens, but not all that much more expensive than the 70-300mm
