Hysteria (game) for Commodore 64

Hysteria for the C64. Crazy little game, fun to play, short, but difficult.

Time travel + blue pants + lightning bolts coming out of forehead = ???

1987 called and demanded that I post a record of this game on Youtube so that future generations may learn.

This time around I found the music pretty boring so I used Ferrara's Hysteria Tune 3 remake instead. Sorry, purists. Oh, and sorry for using a trainer, too :D The game is hard enough that I don't think I would have made it to level 2 after all these years without practice. :)

Great game but too hard...

The game was top... The second best game soundtrack for C64... I still think the best was the music for "Lightforce"...

I think Force 7 music was the freakiest...total "Alien"-like atmosphere. So maybe best music depends on what type of music. Comic Bakery was great, and the Human Race theme was terrific.

Yeah how do you beat force 7? I killed everyone and rescued all the captives but is there even an end? And what the heck is the water firing guy for? I only played it on an emulator so I didn't have a booklet or anything with it. Also I suggest playing barbarian, and of course zac mckracken. Zac Mcrkacken I played as a young kid so I still have the original newspaper came with it. It is one of the few games that I don't want help to finish, great programing and fun! @circular05

@huntingthemidwest I never beat Force 7 either, but I was pretty young last time I tried. The water firing guy is used to kill fire-aliens, I think. I'll have to try barbarian and zac mckracken, sounds fun.

That's more or less the ingame music. Don't know if it's a remake by the poster him / herself, but that's more or less it.

Yeah, the video music I included is a remake of the original. So it's pretty similar...you can find the original SID music file for the game online, too.

Someone told me that the water shooting gun on force 7 was used to kill an alien boss of some kind that was only hurt with the water gun. Apparently there was different versions made, and the one I downloaded was the one that wasn't completed so there is no way to beat the game. I don't know if that is true but it would explain why I wasted hours shooting water and trying to weld all over the different levels after I killed all the monsters. I'll try to look up more about that.

When you collect these puzzles, you get the "head" for the boss. Am i right, that these "heads" were from the producer from the game?
