Great sequence! Talbot didn't exactly help his cause with his constant freak-outs. I do feel bad for him, though, especially in this scene. "There's an entire village of people jumping around and this prancer decides to make me the center of attention! Can't he look at my face and see that I'm not enjoying this??? I'm not even pretending to have a good time! The next time I turn into the Wolf Man, I'm coming after you!! Elsa - give him some change and maybe he'll go away!"

This is no song to sing in front of Larry Talbot.

This my friends is the movie magic that have long been left and forgotten. You wouldn't see a movie maker today dare insert an epic singing number with this much feeling in any modern movie. In fact I think they have forgotten about the thought and feeling entirely, the depth of how even seemingly poor people that been through rough times can try to make the best of it. Just how you can't sulk about the bad things in life if you really wanna live it!

@Kooshmeister3 (Cont'd)
To them I toast, come drink with me!
That may they ever happy be!
And may they live eternally!
Faro-faro-la!
Come one and all and sing a song!
Farola faroli!
For life is short but death is long!
Farola faroli!

@Kooshmeister3 (Cont'd) His barrel belly's dipper lipped! For drinking wine, we's well-equipped! But where's his chest? It must have slipped! Faro-faro-la! (Faro-faro-lo!) The wine tonight is nobly blessed! Farola faroli! (Farola faroli!) By such a lady and her guest! Farola faroli! (Farola faroli!)

For thos wanting lyrics: Come one and all and sing a song! Farola faroli! (Farola faroli!) For life is short but death is long! Farola faroli! (Farola faroli!) There'll be no music in the tomb! So sing with joy! Down with gloom! Tonight the new wine is in bloom! Fara-la-la-lo-li! (Fara-la-la-lo-li!) Tonight we toast our happy host! Farola faroli! (Farola faroli!) For he's the man we love the most! Farola faroli! (Farola faroli!)

@LesbianVampireLover Anthony Hopkins sucked dick, Benicio Del Toro was ok, Emily Blunt was eh and Hugo Weaving was awesome as the cop.
Coming up in the theatres in March..."Red Riding Hood" starring Gary Oldman. Who will turn out to be the werewolf who is terrorizing the village? Will all of us "old school" horror type have enough to keep our interest or will they go too far with the teenaged romantic angle? Mercifully, all of the old Universal films held the romance to an angle but now the film companies are trying to appeal to teen girls. (Someone needs to do a horror film in the spirit of the old Hammer Studio work!)

I like this movie. Besides being a good story, it contains beautiful music. I think it is Tyrolese. I think also in the old Universal monster movies when I see an Oktoberfest. One of my favorite movie songs.

@MrJorlop You are just like me. Whenever I go eat at a German restaurant, I think of the Frankenstein film series! Lon Chaney was always excellent as Talbot, just a total pro. I always think of his brilliant role as "Lenny" in "Of Mice And Men" and how, in a sense, his character had also turned into a wolfman.

When I saw this scene, I thought it was going to turn into a musical!

All that was missing were some munchkins dancing around the village!

Perfect thing to watch before seeing the remake of the original Wolf Man!

The "remake" was EXCELLENT. No spoilers, but Anthony Hopkins' role is certainly not like Claude Rains' part in the original!
