I'm starting my sophomore year of college next January. I'm doing a two year course, and now that I've heard this song, I'm going to live it up instead of suffer through.

I'm reading the comments and I can't help but think that some people are missing the point of this song. This isn't so much about the college experience as it is about life beyond college. In college, you are a student - your life is simpler because you have limited options. You have predetermined expectations to meet and your life can only deviate so far from that track (unless you try real hard). After grad, many people become completely lost - hence "life was much simpler back then".
