  • MASSIVE ROOTS! Love it! I've tried searching around online about this, but my question is, do you necessarily need the air stone, I understand it breaks the air into smaller particals but would it be suffecient enough to run the air hose line in it without the air stone attatched?

  • @suriVJD

Yes! Checkout my more recent video post

    Easiest DWC Hydroponic System

just search rwkleinman and select the one I indicated.

I have five of these going and getting excellent results from all.

  • one thign i dont like about hydro compared to soil is for edible plants you must flush so for things like basil this raises the barrier of not being able to pick leafs when you need them and you must flush for at leas a few days before consuming. i fidn this a\ bit annoying. lots of people dont care about flushing. it is supposed to be bitter if you dont flush and perhaps even toxic.

I change the nutrient solution every 2 to 4 weeks but continue eating my basil, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. throughout the entire process. The taste is not affected and I am still alive! I occasionally give a quick, gentle rinse with a spray nozzle directly through the plant's medium and only flush in large systems to help remove excess mineral salts from the growing medium.

  • @rwkleinman you should always flush before eatign hydro produce. It is essential. Hydro plants pickup high levels of mineral salts. Remember its not organic. don't eaty hydro produce before feeding on plain water for at least 24 hours. it has a bitter taste.

Excellent point! Thanks for your input.

  • If you use an organic hydroponic plant food like Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, you don't have the mineral salts and don't have to flush. But when you use organic hydro, you can't use a TDS meter since there are no mineral salts to read. But once you figure out the right amount of nutrients (figure half what is recommended) and when to replace, all is good.

  • u knw about Hydroponics DWC bucket system with fogger and drip system? PLS HELP

  • Have you tried general hydroponics flora 3 part nutrient? THe reccomended mixing instructions do not seem to give the reccomended ec levels on the meter that the instructions reccomend using. Do you find that GH flora nutrient requires more than what the instructions reccomend

  • Awesome vid man thats what im talking about
